Quizbowl fosters curiosity and encourages the pursuit of knowledge. It develops self-discipline, fast recall, focus, stamina, study skills, confidence, and public speaking. It teaches how to calculate risks and act on incomplete information, how to be wrong and move on, how to be a good teammate and a good opponent, and how to compete honorably, win humbly, and lose graciously. It is proof that since everybody knows something, no one needs to know everything.
